I presented the idea for a Desire2Learn (D2L) instructor quick reference application at the D2L UnConference this year in Chicago, but I have finally had time to start cleaning up the code and getting the app ready for submitting to the iTunes store during the break. I still have some work to do, but expect the app to be ready for download by the end of January at the latest.

Originally, I wrote the app using Core Data for storage, but have since rewritten everything to read from plists in order to make updates much easier. I’ve also added a tab bar to the bottom to allow users to easily sort between text and video tutorials.

Getting the video working is next on the list, followed by rewriting the preferences view to make it harder to enter invalid data. Here’s a screenshot of what I have so far!
